Aperio is pleased to report that one of our journals, Language Documentation and Description, has been accepted for inclusion in the Directory of Open Access Journals. The DOAJ is a gold standard for open access visibility, and they have rigorous standards for including journals. LDD joins two other Aperio journals whose content is discoverable, both full-text and metadata, in this trusted index for scholarly publications.

With a UVA faculty editor, LDD is an international journal that publishes peer-reviewed research on language documentation, language description, and language support, broadly conceived. The journal has published open access since 2003 and joined Aperio’s portfolio in 2021.
